The first New York City Drone Film Festival had more than 150 submissions from 19 countries, so the second #NYCDFF evolved into a three-day event featuring interactive panels, a red carpet screening of the nominated films, an award ceremony, and a “Day of Drones” that included drone battling and drone racing.
With over 350 film submissions from 45 countries, it must have been tough to pick the best of the best for #NYCDFF 2016.
From dronies and freestyle FPV to documentaries and coreagraphed dance routines by Cirque Du Soliel, this film festival had the full spectrum of drone film styles on display.
After watching the winners though, it looks like they did a great job of showcasing what drones are capable of.
